Hi RubyRed!
Welcome to our forum!! I'm so sorry to hear about your husband, but good for you for helping him research this stuff!!
I would like to suggest that you read through our "New to Lyme? Start here!", as it's packed full of really important information about these infections, helpful links and pdf's, detoxing instructions, symptom lists (as Lyme rarely travels alone!!), and even a list of questions you can ask any doctor that your husband sees for treatment!
Chances are pretty high that your husband is experiencing a relapse, this is all too common with those that don't receive treatment that's adequate for these infections. I would highly suggest that you start reading all that you can (a great place to start is the "New to Lyme?" thread) as everyone's treatment must be tailored to each individual. Knowledge is power over these infections.
Is hubby detoxing? Here is a link to an article that explains that it's the toxins from the bacteria dying that drives our symptoms. Those of us with chronic infections usually have issues with our bodies being able to detox efficiently, so we must do things that help it out. The second post in the "New to Lyme?" thread, about 1/2 way into the post, detoxing is explained pretty well.
There are many things that different people do beyond those things to help their bodies detox, but that's a good start.
