From one lymie who is having a hard day to another, it does get better. I remember a year ago having Traveler tell me that before I know it I would be telling others that it will get better. It does. I have a tough case with a long time of untreated lyme and co-infections but there are things that I complained about before treatment that haven't been an issue in over 6 months. There are things that started after treatment that I'm still dealing with and the ebb and flow continues but, I have had 1.5 to 2 weeks at a time with no major complaints which is huge. I used to long for 1 day of no pain. Now I have experienced a week or more at a time (and then a few weeks of not good times), but 1.5 weeks without pain is gladly welcomed even if currently I only get it once every month or so!
As for the IVs, I have never done the glutathione one but know a lots of people at my LLMD who do them weekly. I can't afford all of the IVs but I did do 4 weeks in a row of high doses of Vitamin C with B12. The B12 gave me great energy and the Vitamin C helped with some detoxing (But also caused some herxing). For my fibro, I have done a Meyers cocktail and loved it. My only complaint with a lot of the IVs is that if they are mixed with a natural base I can taste, smell and sweat it. I used to get one in Atlanta and I sweated creamed corn smell for 24 hours. My nurse I see now for the IVs uses a beet or yucca base and those are a bit easier.
If you can find someone to drive you over for the IV I think you will enjoy it and find benefit from it. Before you know it you will be able to easily make the drive. I drive to see my Dr., get ondamed and an IV every 4 weeks and it's a 2 hour trip each way. I just download some good pod casts, hop in the car and make the drive. It's one of the few times I don't have a vibrant 4 year old wanting my attention!
Good luck and it will get better.
