Hi The Wryter!
Welcome to our little forum!! I'm so glad you found us!! I see that you've also already been through our "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread!! Wonderful!!
The symptoms that you mention are quite common and there are several ways you can choose from to help you deal with them. I use natural means to heal, so I would suggest turmeric and ginger for not only your digestion issues, but for inflammation as well. For anxiety I use only the herbal tinctures Motherwort and Avena Sativa (wild oats in the 'milky' stage, which also heals the nerves).
Others who use mainly pharmaceuticals will likely suggest things like and anti-inflammatory and then something like Xanax if your anxiety is bothersome or increases. I'm sure others will be along shortly to offer more suggestions, though!!
Sounds like you have a pretty good primary care doc!! Anyone who can recognize the need to test a person for Lyme is a good person in my book!!
I copied and pasted your first post below so that other members are sure to read your whole story:
"Hi! I'm new here and new to Lyme. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease just last month in December 2012. In October it was pneumonia and from there it was a downward spiral staircase and filled with zany doctors until I found my doctor at the end of November who pratices both medical and holistic. I've done colonics and infrared sauna treatments but need to make them a weekly practice.
This site is incredible! I've been taking detox baths but without a brush or the food grade hydrogen peroxide!!!! Thank you for that and I'm going on line NOW to buy a brush and food grade hydrogen peroxide. Unfortunately I can't do epsom salt...only seas salt as I am allergic to sulfate. I've received 2 treatments through IV. First one was rough. I will look on the message board as I have questions about
other peoples journey. I just want to be overcome this wicked disease. Thank you again for posting all of this great info!"
Again, welcome to our spot! I'm sure you will find us all to be helpful to you!
