I've been monitoring my body temperature more lately. I've known for years that it tends to be low, anywhere between 94 and 97.5.
Recently I've noticed it sometimes getting up in the 98/99 level, which I've been happy about. The crazy thing is, I started taking my temp before and after going out for a walk. Afterwards it seems to drop down super low: 94.4 one day, then 93.8, then 92.8.
Yes, it would seem like the thermometer is broken, but I've bought several new thermometers for this reason. The new ones consistently read about 1 degree LOWER than the one I've been using.
Also, I have lots of symptoms when my temp is down this low - really achy and tired, only able to move very slowly, feeling "semi-catatonic". I mostly feel it right after I stop walking.
Soon after going inside and sitting down, my temperature seems to go back up. On the day it dropped to 92.8, it had shot up to 99.8 within a couple of minutes.
I know low body temp can be a symptom of Lyme, but 92.8 seems extreme. Even the docs where I'm getting treatment seemed surprised.
I've had my thyroid tested several times, and always been told it's normal.
Has anyone else had their temp go this low, or this much fluctuation?
