Can LLMD ophthalmologist help with MS symptoms

Hi everyone:

I have been having MS symptoms but also have had symptoms in the past that are more consistent with Lyme. Meanwhile, I am looking for an LLMD to help me with this, and I did a search on the Lyme Disease Association database and found an ophthalmologist who is in my insurance group (meaning I could have insurance cover me going to see this doctor). The bio on his website says he has done residency in both neurology and opthalmology.

I am curious; would it be reasonable to schedule an appointment with this guy based on the referral form the Lyme Disease Association listing? I do have a bit of optical neuritis, so there is that connection. But I am more interested in asking him about how Lyme would affect my symptoms as a whole.

The copay would only be $15, so I guess it wouldn't hurt anything to try, ya?
