So this is kind of a stupid question but I'm thinking as long as my periods are fairly regular my RBC should be okay right? I don't feel very weak, just fatigue, lack of motivation, a little weak but I also look pale and sickly BUT then I was thinking if I had anemia or Low RBC my period probably wouldn't be normal...does this sound like a "sound" assumption?

Has your dr. checked your RBC? I don't know that just because your menstruation is normal that that means that your RBC is normal. Your LLMD should be doing regular bloodwork to check that among other things.

I hesitate to get involved in "women's issues," but I will jump right in anyway.

Heather had Babesia Duncani with a lot of nasty symptoms. Babesia is known to kill the RBC's. Not surprisingly, her RBC count was out of reference range on the low end. Your situation is a bit different than Heather's was. She contacted these microbes before her menstruation had started. She was only 9 y.o. when she was bitten by the tick. She was "cured" when she was 14 y.o. She did not experience her first menstruation until a few months after her 14th birthday.

Looking back, I feel that her menstruation started because of restoration of normal hormone levels. I never associated her RBC status with her menstruation or lack of it. Like Mystery Illness, i have not heard of a menstruation and RBC status relationship. I know that many anemic women are able to have normal menstruation cycles.

Even when I had a slightly lower red blood cell count my period was normal, so I don't think that works as a marker. If you're having trouble with shakiness and fatigue, consider that it may be blood pressure that's at fault. I have POTS, so low blood pressure does me in even when I do have enough RBC.

For about2 1/2 mos I've been on a couple Babesia treatments

about a month ago my Hemoglobin and hemocrit dropped way low. I had to stop all treatment for awhile.

While this was occurring I had normal periods. But my heart was racing, fatigue, pale coloration and just not myself. Good thing I had my blood checked

The treatment was specific to artemisia I was taking at the time. As soon as I stopped artemesia, my blood levels went back to normal.  However, I am still monitoring my blood levels carefully.  Babesia is known to affect the bloods levels also because of the RBC mentioned. When the RBC is split due to the Bab parasite dieoff, it sure can cause some problems...liver, spleen, kidneys. This is why detoxing and taking great care is paramount. Flush the body and all of the fragments out.

Hemo, RBC etc is so important to monitor because of your heart and liver. (so no damage occurs)

I am back on Mepron and Zithro at low dose but not artemesia.

Thanks ecotick.That is good to know - its a shame my LLMD is so far away! I'm not sure if I have babs but I'm pretty sure I have Bart which also infects the blood cells. All I'm on right now is 100mg doxy 2x/day, vitamins, jap knotweed, sida acuta, and Houtuynia. When I put it that way...that sounds like a lot of killing stuff!
