Has or does anyone take a supplement called AHCC?

Hey Denise. I've taken it years ago when I used to sell it in my store but it was before Lyme so I can't comment on its effectiveness in that department.

It's basically mushrooms that are more bioavailable or absorbable due to their molecular weight being reduced.

I believe most of its benefits are anti-cancer due to its ability to increase the activity of NK cells which we know Lyme can affect. Can't hurt except the wallet as it's pretty expensive.

Glad to hear you're doing well Denise. I'm just starting my journey with this. Luckily, my symptoms are mild but I know that can change so I'm going to see an LLMD next weekend.

I've tried herbs like Cat's Claw but they give me nose bleeds due to their blood thinning effects so I'm going to have to go the dreaded abx route.

Eating mushrooms won't even come close to what the AHCC can do for you. The AHCC is so much more powerful as it's an extract possessing tons more beta-glucans than you ever get my just consuming them as a food. Plus there's the better absorption advantage to the AHCC as well.
