Need Information on Dormantation of LD

Hello,

Yes as my name suggest I am a US Marine no longer in service. I have been diagnosed with LD but I believe I was not Diagnosed properly as I believe I had LD long before the Dr's opinion.

I mentioned the only rash I have ever seen on my body after a tick bite and was then diagnosed because of this information. What was ignored was the fact that I was stationed within 35 miles of Lyme Connecticut back in 1988-89 while in the Navy. Yes I left the Marines because a Navy Recruiter made me promises that the Marines could not do and then I screwed by the Navy. Or was I, It was while I was in the Navy that some of my symptoms started my mood would change with out notice.

Groton, CT. at the Naval Sub base I would go out on weekends with friends enjoying Nature and being outdoors. I'm from the south and love the woods I could not tell you how many tick bites I have had in my life time. But I do know that when I left CT. I was on the down hill slide to nowhere.

So what I need to do is prove that there is cases where LD has been dormant for x# of years and where I can find this proof. If anyone here can help me I would be very grateful.

I believe I'm in the same boat as you. I was bit in 2007. Never had any symptoms until this year...so I thought but I started getting skin infections about a year ago.(2011) My first skin infection exploded it was like 10 in. in diameter and looked kind of like an em rash...ironically right where my tick bite was in 2007 (with + EM rash)....and here comes my misery in 2012 after multiple skin infections (Lyme spreading I presume) I don't think you need to prove it.

An article that might be able to help but I think you will need more than that. No extensive research that I am aware of showing persistence after years though many of us know that it happens.

When I was told I had LD the Dr. said it came out because of a stressed environment I was going though at the time. So i but the questt was dormant is for how long.
