Milk thistle contraindications?

Hey guys,

So I was just reading some things on milk thistle and I read that it may not be a good idea to take with Mepron, something I am currently on. I was never able to take it before because of the anti seizure meds I was on, but Mepron?

Then I further read that it could be effective against certain types of cancers, particularly hormonal cancers, of the breasts, cervix, ovaries, etc... But then I also read that people with a history of any of these cancers (I did), should be weary of milk thistle...

Anyone??

There have been some red flags raised. I read through several articles, and in my mind, it seems that the authority's minds are inconclusive on the matter. In fact, some of the studies apparently contradicted other studies reaching the opposite conclusion. You will have to judge for yourself.

Milk Thistle is a GREAT liver detox, but way too strong for those with Lyme on any meds.

Always work on the other pathways for detoxing before hitting the liver. I rarely, if ever give Milk Thistle to clients in active disease.
