back spasm a herx?

Is feeling like you got hit by a car in your sleep potentially a herx? My back is in spasm... Can't bend over (That's never happened to me before). Also, my ankles hurt when I walk, and my shoulders/throat, ribcage, neck are all in pain. If I didn't know better, I'd think I got into a fight or something! I can't pinpoint any actual event that would have caused all this, so I'm just wondering if this could be herxing. I did start a-bab this week. If so, I may refrain from upping my dosage tonight.

Muscle spasms were frequently part of a herx for me, even whole back spasms like you describe. Completely nasty!!! It would make it so I couldn't move for 5 - 7 minutes then I was so exhausted that I couldn't move on my own for another 10 - 15 minutes.

Herxing can be such an individual experience since lots of times it's a combo of old and new symptoms.

Wow, maybe this is a herx then. It's definitely weird. Body pain has never been much of a symptom for me, with lyme and in general. I assumed I'd just done something to my back until I realized that lots of my other joints are hurting, too.

So... Just typical detox measures for this? Anything in particular to help it?

This was back when I could do a full body Epsom salt soak (& before I even knew I had Lyme or how to detox!), but that's exactly what helped the most. Epsom salt soaks are used all the time for strained/sprained muscles!! So get some nice warm (normal detoxing temps that you're used to) and let those Epsom salts do their work! LOL!

If there's anyway you can beg a back rub - even a short one, that goes a looooonnngg way to helping it all as well!

Always keep an eye out for other signs/symptoms to show up that may indicate this isn't a herx, but a worsening of things or something else. We don't want to get so used to blaming everything on herxing that we miss something we needed to see!

i had a super sore arm muscle yesterday and today its totally gone.
i think herxing and detox can come out in so many ways.
i think the arm muscle was some type of herx cause it went away...
nice salt bath
not too hot tho, i think i took too hot of a bath and caused a herx, i thought i was gonna barf!

I get the 'blocked' back regularly, it takes about 30 minutes to get past it. My last one was just 2 days ago.
Feeling hit by a car is (for me) not typically herxing. It's a symptom in my case.

Another strange thing that happened in the past, it's been a while, luckely: I get a totally unexpected whiplash at 1 side of my neck. My head flips over (soooo fast) to one side (where I get the whiplash), and it hurts like hell.
