Well good news is he 'officially' diagnosed me with lyme but lyme only. I will stay on the doxy and add in ceftin (is this effective against anything but lyme?) for 6 weeks. I barely glanced at the report but IgG was negative for everything. IgM 41 ++, 23 + and one or two IND.

Then I go back April 15th for appointment, immune booster IV (vitamin C, magnesium, glutathione, and one other thing-$175 not too shabby for IV therapy)

Will this be a waste of my time if I have bartonella and babesia? I mean I am using Houttuyunia and Sida Acuta for bart and CSA for babs but I don't know....oh well at least he will help me!

He seems to be the slow and steady does it type.

That's great, opugirl! Ceftin is a good lyme abx. No, it won't be a waste. However, I would ask your Dr. if he diagnoses the co-infections clinically. My LLMD does, and so did my first LLMD. However, I've find that they kind-of wait to see because the co-infection symptoms often pop up during lyme treatment. My LLMD said that Bart and Babs are opportunistic infections so once the lyme starts getting treated, the co-infections often "kick in". So, there's a good chance that your LLMD is waiting to see how you do and what symptoms decrease or worsen. It's a bit of trial and error, unfortunately.

Slow and steady is the best way with Lyme. It's hard for us because we just want to see quick results, but that's just not the way this goes.

opugirl, I'm "glad" to hear the "good" news! Sad how this is "good" news for us, but it means treatment which means healing! Hooray!

It's sounds like if you got the clinical Dx for Lyme you'd get a clinical Dx for co-infections too, right?

It's all very confusing, my LLMD was somewhat vague but suspects Lyme and several co's. he's also the slow and steady type, and it's tough. The thought of 2-3 years of treatment is killing me! And he said that's minimum...ugh.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish u the best of luck with your treatment plan! :)

Well I did ask him about it because I don't have the swollen joints etc. and he said that he doesn't think I'll be a very difficult case. I have no swollen joints, The muscle pain goes away fast on low dose doxy. He says if in six weeks I'm not making as much progress as he wants then we will consider co-infections. I didn't push him though. I just went along with what he said.

Sounds like he has a good plan. Six weeks isn't long at all to wait to evaluate for co-infections. That'll be a good amount of time to see if some of the co-infection symptoms really kick in after the lyme is being hit hard.
