charcoal poll

question> how many people on this forum take charcoal regularly?

i was prescribed it (twice day) for a month, now don't have to take it ... but read about so many benefits. it constipated me unless i drank it with 8 oz water which made taking it right before bedtime unworkable.

on the other hand it's a real pain having to wait an hour and a half before taking supplements on either end... i take so many, i would just as soon do something else. like???

My first LLMD prescribed activated charcoal. I took it before bed every night. My current LLMD replaced it w/ Chlorella. It seems like the Chlorella works a little better and doesn't cause constipation. I take the Chlorella before bed.

I started taking AC about a week ago. I think it's helping! I'm smack-dab in the middle of what is usually my worst week of the month, and it has been a lot easier than usual.

I do get bad, abrupt headaches when I take the AC. I think toxins are being stirred up- just my guess, though. It's good to know the AC is working. Oh, also, I read somewhere online that AC kills candida... so maybe that is going on, too.
