I hope that someone can help me: My husband, fifteen months ago received western block positive igm and igg for borrellia. Later Igenex confirmed this... as well as bartonella and erlichia. He has taken minocycline, biaxin, flagyl, cipro and another AB (?) in incombinations for at least 3 months at a time, 3 different courses. He recently tested negative for erlichia.
The Md's (Stricker) recommendation is Ketek and Medpron.
I did speak with a naturopathic doctor (W. Anderson) who suggested Byron White's formula: A-bab instead.
We are at a turning point......I would greatly appreciate some feedback from people. His only symptom is short term memory and processing new information and is so spacey from all this that is really my decision in the end as he is not holding on to these concepts.
He is a multiply published writer and a smart man...and this is very difficult for us both. I sometimes wonder if it is lyme at all because there is mainly the one very specific symptom. He has had SPECT and MRI imaging and both were negative for abnormality.
Please help if you can.

I am not sure if I can help you, but I have had three Mri, all negative, yet I have Lyme. I do have memory issues, they come and go, from short term memory to complete brain fog.
If he has had a positive test for Lyme, I would think he has Lyme, or had it at one time, not to many false positives, mostly false negatives.

also maybe he could take something for the brain, a herbal supplement of something? I would ask the doctor.
