tonesg, I was floxed 5 years ago, too. Most people don't realize that tendon issues can happen many months or longer after taking the fluoroquinolones. I have 2 articles how Levaquin can bring out the dormant Lyme's disease....wish I had saved these articles. Levaquin affected my cns and pns. I have not found that the foods you mentioned affected me in any way although I did eat organic for about a year after being floxed.
Did you recently get bit by a tick?????
Patty
No. I had pretty much beat lyme using the salt/c protocol for about a year prior to being floxed.
I was a-symptomatic from lyme at the time and was given levaquin and cipro pre and post surgery as a prophalactic, without my knowledge. I did read a study which indicated that floroquinilones genetically change benign gut bacteria into toxic bacteria, which then release toxins similar to what lyme does. Some people think that the toxicity from levaquin is related to the flouride......could be both, I guess. Diet was really key for me, and for many others, interesting that you didn't have to get too radical with that. Getting floxed really complicates the lyme picture as some of the symptoms are just about identical, though the floroquinolones do attack the tendons in an apparently unique way. The only positive thing is that many lyme people are already disciplined and can navigate through the, for some, necessary diet changes pretty easily.
