I've had Lyme for almost 2 years, age 25, the physical effects are pretty debilitating and the mental effects are no picnic either! I've run the gamut of GPs, PAs, specialists and even so-called "Lyme Specialists" who did nothing but prescribe antibiotics and ignore how severe my pain is on a daily basis. Currently living in Fairfield, Connecticut...does anybody know any LLMDs in the area?
Also, due to the fact that I had to quit working in restaurants because of Lyme, I now make very little money. Am constrained from holding down a real job because of my newfound much weaker body, tendency to call in sick when unable to move, and general fatigue & depression.
Because of all this, am currently drowing in debt, unpaid bills and student loans. I moved in with my boyfriend to cut costs, and often have to choose between rent, medicine, gas to get to work and food. Am in the process of applying to Husky, a process that has been stopped and started several times in the past year due to confused welfare workers and lost applications after they were submitted to system. I don't want to sound like I'm disparaging Husky & public clinics, as I know they do many wonderful things for many people.
But I need help, a jump start on the road to financial recovery, some relief from this onslaught of bills...really ANYTHING! And what I intended to be a quick intro & quick question is now rambling, so I'm going to end it here and say thank you to anybody taking the time to read these posts and help others.
