Food grade H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) is purer and more concentrated than the type you can get in the drug store.
The drug store variety may have stabilizers or other contaminants in it that you may not want to have absorbed into the body through a bath...but be aware that you will need to reduce the amount of the food grade you use vs. the drug store H2O2.
And one would certainly not want to ingest or use drug store H2O2 on anything put inside the body (such as toothbrushes)...food grade would be very important for this.
Ok, so for cleaning:
We use baking soda instead of cleanser to clean sinks, tubs, toilets, and stains on pots & pans. We also use an essential oils based household cleaning product to clean these things. The baking soda scrubs and bleaches stains, and the oils-based cleaner kills germs.
I've also used the household cleaner to clean sink & shower fixtures, countertops, mirrors, stovetop, the oven, refrigerator handle/door, floors, carpeting, and laundry.
But I like Planet brand hand dishwashing soap (unscented/fragrance free), and Ecos fragrance free laundry soap. We do use commercial Finish for automatic dishwasher detergent, but I'm looking for a fragrance free alternative. And we use fragrance free Ecover, a citric acid based product, as rinse aide in the dishwasher, to prevent spots (no fragrance or harsh chemicals, and it works).
We also use dryer balls instead of dryer sheets to cut down on static electricity in the dryer. And we hang-dry many of our clothes (prolongs the life of silk-screened T-shirts and some other materials).
I also put the hand dishwashing sponge in the dishwasher every time I run it, so the sponge gets sterilized frequently. And I also change the sponge about once a month.
I would use vinegar, but I'm sensitive to it...
