my doctor said I have the following:

Hashimotos thryoiditis
pre metabolic syndrome elevated glucose and cholestrol
cmv virus, hhv 6 virus, ebv virus
low testerone, estrogen, and progesterone
a lesion on S 2 of my spine

he tested me for lyme but does not think I have it. I have a llmd who tested me thru igenex and says I have it. my regular md is a toxocolist very good, and he thinks I don't have it, and is running more tests doing a bone scan, drawing blood testing for tumor markers for cancer.

I have read that lyme can cause tranverse myelitis which may be what the lesion is? what do yall think?

Well, I kn ow that Lyme can cause all of that and much, much more!

You should at least ask your regular MD why he believes Lyme isn't an issue for you. I would also ask what his opinion of Lyme is - but that's me! devil If he doesn't believe it's a problem in your area, then you have your answer, as it's a problem in every area! It very unfortunate what uneducated doctors have done in this country and others by telling so many people that they "can't have" Lyme disease because they are afraid of it.

Hi Mystery! Yes Lyme can cause lesions as it mimicks MS. Even in the brain. I'm with Trav...ask your doctor what they think of Lyme.

I'd go with your LLMD. LLMD can/does cause all of those things. It suppresses the immune system, which is why previously dormant viral infections become active (HHVD, Epstein Barr). After the lyme is appropriately treated, those other things will go away. Yes,lyme can cause lesions. Get to the LLMD!

Ive only been diagnosed with 223 of them, I guess I need to go to more doctors to see if I can have all 300!

I guess I'm easily amused as well! Although I just couldn't stand listening to all that willing ignorance long enough to get any more false diagnoses!! LOL!

Traveler, good morning.

let me just add that ignorance isnt limited to the medical field. when we are sick, we see it more clearly. try going to a fast food counter lately? (I have to some times)

me being in the automotive repair buisness, I have a network of people I have to depend on...and OH MY! is it getting tough to do my job. even on my good days.

oh, I just noticed you said "willing" ignorance. oops. well I'm going to leave this rant post anyway.

Ohhhhh, Tom!!! Please don't get me started on the general ignorance - willing ignorance of this world!!! smhair LOL!

I've been blessed to have not had to work for many years now - I don't think I could go back and deal with people any more at all!! LOL! Don't get me wrong, I know that there are some really good people out there, it's just that they are getting farther and fewer in between!!

As you know, we don't mind small rants here anyway!! smilewinkgrin

I have ebstein barr, and herpes also, I have Lyme.

I was told it was MS, Lupus, CFS, and Fibro.

I had 20 doctors tell me I had lyme but don't have it anymore. I had one say I cured myself. I am more inclined to believe a LLMD.

I'm soooo very glad to know that you are finally getting some progress, Justme! You were so ill, I was really worried for a while!
