I have been on abx for 2 months and I am starting to see some significant discoloration in between many of my teeth. It was a unpleasant discovery. Is it likely from the abx? What can be done?
Thanks so much!

Yes,it's the antibiotics, are you on Doxy?
Mine were very discoloured, they cleaned up perfectly after I came off the treatment
Don't worry, they will be pearly white again.

I am not on doxy. I am on nystatin, and two others. I can't remember which ones at the moment. My cognitive functions are pretty bad righty now lol.
I have been on them for 2 months and likely will be for a year or more. Do you feel that even with this sort of duration they will still clean up? So its on the outside of the teeth like a stain versus something inside?
Thanks!!!

Yes, the stains are on the outside of the tooth and should clear when you come off the abx., although some take a while to clear. If you are not on Doxy, you are likely on one of the tetracyclines, another abx that stains teeth.

Hi,
This is what I am currently on...
nystatin
Azythromycin
Amoxicillin
So even if I am on abx for a year or more it should clear up eventually?
Thanks

Hi! I have been on I.V. antibiotics and orals for over a year and they do stain, but my dentist said there was no damage. I was also worried about
the enamel from all the lemon water, etc. Anyway they got out a special blaster and they were once again white.
