Hello everyone and blessings. This week has been a pretty good week but I got some labs back that made me have an "aha" moment. My B6 levels are way elevated and my kinesiologist looked over them and noticed another level is close to high that has to do with my liver. My liver isn't detoxing the way it should. I had a heart to heart with him and said I'm tired of the IVs. My veins are exhausted.

The rest of my vitamin levels are good which is amazing being that I had deficiencies earlier. I told him that I'm going to tell my doctor that I'm going to cut back on my Vitamin IV infusions and even peroxide. It's time to be done with Lyme.

He agreed. I spoke to my doctor and she has done fabulous work but besides IVs she doesn't know what else to do with me.

Long story short I'm weaning myself off the IVs, taking meat out of my diet, juicing everyday and increase my herbal dosage.

I also have an appt with a doctor in Pittsburgh next month that knows Lyme inside and out and the coinfections. My doctor doesn't think I have any...but I do...I have Bartonella and what's left of Babesia. My herbalist has helped me tackle the coinfections.

Sorry this is a long post but I wanted to share that I'm listening to my spirit and moving on...I'm also detoxing a lot more these days and my body can't detox properly with the IVs. Plus the IVs make me feel a bit tired and make some symptoms flare a bit. I don't have the energy I once had after getting them.

Sometimes we have to sit and meditate on what's best for us to get better. I'm single mom on a limited income. I miss my life, I feel like I'm watching life pass me by. I used to run marathons, perform in shows, have tons of energy, laugh out loud and African dance. In order to get more income I need a new job and be able to sell my books once my poetry book is published.

So I will keep everyone posted. I am a LOT better than I was a year ago! I'm thankful...but these last symptoms are trying to hang out and they are about to get kicked to the curb. Keep praying for me and my beautiful 2 year old and that I will be able to keep being a strong mama for him.

Hi Wryter wishing you a complete recovery. You seem like an awesome person. How long have you been hooked up to the IV ? If you need to you can go to orals is you regress. Hoping a natural approach will work for you. Hugs.

Oh my IVs are natural...I'm not on any medication except for an anti depressant and 4.5 mg of low dose naltrexone. :-) I can't take the Lyme meds...made me crash and burn! :-( but thank you. I read that a few people who took a break from their regular regiment to detox had great success.

Plus I'm not stopping the herbal protocol. Teasel is no joke! I have an appt with my neuro next week, my herbalist the week after and then this naturopath in Nov in Pittsburgh.

We will all come out victoriously! You are a great person too BarnGurl...I know having a kid will help you to heal. My son doesn't know how much he's done for me. Their love is amazing and I'm sure you would agree. :-)

I did something totally crazy. I was sitting in the chair watching tv feeling sorry for myself and noticed my husband was dismantling our above ground pool. I went outside and helped him. nuts.

I had no right being there but I am glad I was part of it. We ripped the liner out and then took the outside metal part down. Water flowed like crazy. He really needed the help. Now its outta there. We just have to clean up the mess. I have to say forcing myself to do some labor felt good. Like old times when I had a life...haha

I too believe it's most important to follow what your body whispers (or sometimes screams) at you.

I hope that the dr's appointments go very well and that they will be able to give you more insights.

Thanks everyone! Barngurl that isn't crazy! I listen to Joyce Meyer a lot these days and she says do something to get your mind off of yourself! And you sure did LOL!!!!

Shelly you should reach out to opugirl. It's her doctor...I have to dig in my email to find her info. Be cool if you could get an appt the same day we are going which is Monday Nov 11th!

Marie thank you...my body is done with IVs. Time to switch gears and sometimes its scary but I feel like I've plateued with the IVs. Sending you good vibes across the Atlantic too!!!

Im waiting for my son's Lyme test. He hasnt had one headache since starting antibiotics. Amazing. Should be here by the end of thew week. I hope you are doing well off of IV's and enjoying some Fall weather. This disease changes you forever, as I imagine most of them do. But am trying to find some good aspects I can learn and grow from. :)

It does change you!!! I want to go to grad school and become a health and wellness coach concentrating in intergrative medicine and nutrition. I want to help people with chronic illnesses get better!

I also plan on writing a health column somewhere but for now it lives on my blog!

And I'm going to live every day like its my last!!!!

Oh my gosh!!!! I took 11/11 off to meet opugirl because she was going to be in my neck of the woods!!! So I get to meet you,too ? Awesome!!!

I can't afford another doctor right now, but I wanted to at least take her for a cup of coffee, she's helped me so much!

I can't afford another doctor either but I'm selling stuff and trying to do all that I can to get this second opinion to take my healing across the finish line!

Selling clothes at consignment shops has been my friend :-)
