Well, sorry for the subject, it's not 'Poop and you' (for the veterans on here), but it's close - lol.

Lately, when going to the bathroom, I notice that there is an oily /waxy kind of film (colorless) on my urine. There are no products in the toilet, the only origin is me. It's been going on for a few weeks now.

Does anyone have any insights on this?

Should I be worried, get tested for something, or is this normal?

Hi Marie,

Are you on a low carb diet or have you been eating oily food?

These can cause oily films when urinating, does your "pinkle" smell any differently?

As far as I know if it is something serious,the urine gives off different odours depending on the root of the problem.

Hey Tickled,

I'm not on a low carb diet, I cut back bread and pasta significantly, but I'm still eating potatoes and rice. And no change in the 'oilyness' of what I eat...

No strange smells either, luckely, then I would really be alarmed...

How are you doing? :-)

I've read a little something about this in connection to either these diseases, or the treatment of them....but I don't remember where!!! smhair It's been too long!! I'll see what I can find, but please don't hold your breath! It could take a while!

Oh! and I've been thinking about reviving the 'poop and you' thread!!! Giggle!! It's still really important info for all these newbies we have!

Please don't dig too deep for it, maybe it'll pop up in your thoughts without looking for it. I'll do some more googling tomorrow - I read something about the liver, but need some more reading.

Yes, I was thinking about the Poop and you thread today. lol. Why was that again?....

oh yes, my headache always gets significantly worse just after a bowel movement...

(for the new members: we know no shame on this forum - lol).

Or you could say that since these infections know no bounds in the body, we aren't afraid to talk about almost anything on this forum!! turn smilewinkgrin
