Hi everyone! I haven't been here in a while but not for lack of excitement. As u may know both my husband and I have been battling lyme for years. Well we had both been feeling well so mych so thàt I am off meds and trying chinese herbs and he just went off meds in August right arnd the time that his kidney stones decided to show up. Long story short, he wound up in the hospital 5 times, one for over two weeks with high fevers, sweats, chills and anemia. And not one doctor would even thk abt clinically diagnosing him despite a previous positive babesia test! I was called names like "lymologist" and "fanatic" and "one of those people who hand out flyers on the beach" all because I was trying to help my husband. To complicste matters, all tests including those by llmd after discharge, have been negative .

To put it mildly , I am not only stronger but a powerhouse in this darn fight! The saga continues and I'm not gonna let it lie!

Btw hubby is doing well on treatment !

Hi Springsjean..these so called experts do not understand the disease. Im quite sure you know more about it than they do. Move on. ;) Never give up.

I've been able to follow the saga some, but I'm so very glad that things are better!!

I would be proud to be called a Lymologist - and I would tell them at least I know I wouldn't make matter worse and have done due diligence! Uneducated fools that they are - hurting so many people with their own ignorance!

Sorry....been dealing with those types lately!! UGH! shakehead

Glad you & hubby are doing well!

On a quest to dig deeper & get some answers, I stopped down at the ER at the hospital I work at to talk to on of the docs. The only good I have to say about him is that he did give me about 10 minutes of his time.

I told him my whole story in a nutshell & asked for some insight...he had nothing to offer except he was certain my symptoms were not related to being on steroids 3x this summer. He also said that lyme doctors are all crazy.

I bet if he had symptoms he'd want some answers!!!

Shelly, do you have questions about what those steroids did to your Lyme infection?
