Bactrim and Azithro for Bart?

Hey everyone! My Dr just took me off Rifampin because my herxes were sooo painful. Now I am on Bactrim 800/160 mg and azithro 500mg. Anyone try this combo before? If so, did you herx? Get better??

I'm just on biaxin, but anticipate rifampin in the future....what symptoms of herxing did you experience on rifampin?

Hi Shelly!

I had meningitis-like herxes (intense headaches, pressure, sticff neck and back). Body pain all over, especially nerve pain in the hands and wrists. I don't want this to scare you though, because everyone is different. I've heard that a lot of people tolerate Rifampin well. What are your herxes like on Biaxin?

I am not really sure....I feel good at times and strange at times. I'll get heavy feeling of arms & legs. Off balance feeling. Fatigue. Mild headaches at times. So vague and nothing severe. I do a lot to detox, so maybe it's helping :).
