I just wanted to share what I do for the flu, all homeopathics. Take them in an area with no strong scents, like menthol, perfume, etc. Those can antidote the remedies. Dissolve under your tongue. It may take more than one dose, so take a 2nd dose if you feel the symptoms coming back.
Oscillococcinum is my favorite. It's a homeopathic med that is taken at the first sign of the flu coming on, tired and achy, which can be hard to tell with Lyme doing the same thing to some, but it usually feels different. It's widely available. I've aborted many a flu bug with it over the 25 years I've used it. The directions say to take the whole tube, but you can just fill the top of the cap with the pills and take that and it works if you have the type of flu it will address. It can sometimes help with the end stages of the flu that linger.
Belladonna is for a flu that comes on fast and furious. The person has hot, red skin with a high fever and is delirious. My young daughter was prone to that type of reaction and it was scary sometimes.
Allium Cepa, which is commonly used for colds. If you feel like you cut into an onion, with a runny nose and burning, watery eyes, then this may be the remedy you need. My other daughter tended to get this type every year.
There are others I need to refresh my memories of. That may take a while
Gelsemium is another common remedy for the flu. Tiredness and heaviness are key symptoms of it, especially heaviness in the eye lids. I comes on slow and progresses slowly. I should've remembered that one since I had to take it recently! I've needed that remedy for several thing over my life. I think I would've lost my 2nd pregnancy if I hadn't had it. It was right after the death of my father and I started bleeding quite a bit. Then I needed it during her birth to take the edge off the pain, so that shows the diversity of homeopathic medicine.
