Lyme can mimic Parkinson's disease so please don't worry. The medical community has actually started to treat Parkinson's disease and similar illnesses such as MS, Fibromyalgia, and Alzheimer's with antibiotics just as they treat Lyme. And you know what? they are getting better!
For years, Neuro diseases have been treated with medicine that mitigated the symptoms but that it did not address the root cause. It seems that in the last decade doctors are finding pathogens with similar characteristics and are finding that antibacterial and antiviral medication such as the ones used to treat Lyme and it co-infections are also suitable to resolve the aforementioned neurological diseases.
As Opugirl mentioned above, taking magnesium supplements has been found to help with the muscle and nerve spasms/twitches. This may be due to the fact that Lyme and its co-infections steal magnesium from the body to feed themselves thus leaving the body with a magnesium deficiency.
