Hi ChristiP
Have you heard of Turmeric and Boswellia? They both help with pain. I can't tolerate Boswellia, but Turmeric seems to work. A lot of members on here use them with great success. Another product that is good for your joints is Zyflamend, it's anti-inflammatory. My dr says it works as well as Diclophenac, when I told him I take both, he asked me to choose one of them. He also puts me on high doses of Omega3.
Ginger works well for joint pain too.
This is the herbal side.
I tried Tramadol but I feel very stoned on it, for hours and hours... good for a Sunday, but not during the week. I tried Lyrica, not with much success for fighting pain, and when I take it in the evening, it puts me out the whole next day, I become a zombie, and have difficulties driving. Some people get help from it, but not me. I asked my dr about it, and he confirmed that the largest part of his Lyme patients don't get help from it. This is my personal and my dr's experience, others might think different about it, sorry.
And like Teragram said: warm Epsom salt baths, and heating pads. My cherry stone pillows are very dear friends...
Good luck Christi!
