Blood in urine?

Anyone ever get blood in their urine? I have had some urine cultures done and I don't have an infection or kidney stones. I had a ct scan too. Could this be Lyme related? Kinda freaking out!

I know that Babesia can cause blood in the urine, among other symptoms of course.

Although there are other, more common infections that cause blood in the urine, like Garden Peace has said - urinary tract infections, bladder infections, kidney infections and more.

It would be best to have it checked out by a doctor to be sure that it's not something that needs a different treatment.

Blood in urine can be very easily explained in most cases.

Yes, this disease and coinfections can cause this. So can just about any other problem or injury so dont freak out. If you are an athlete, blood in urine/feces is pretty routine and is almost commonplace.

Just curious, exactly what color is the blood? bright red or dark red? The color can say a lot about where in the body you started bleeding. If the bleeding is persistent and/or significant you do need to go to an ER.

It's microscopic. The doc picked it up in a urine sample because I was having cramps( which turned out to be gas). I was an athlete ( before having Lyme). All of my blood work came back fine, my ct scan of my kidneys was fine. In the past I've had pelvic ultrasounds which also were fine. I've had 4 urine samples taken in the past few years and this is the second time it's come up with blood in it. Myom died of cancer so I immediately jump to that conclusion and get myself completely worked into a tizzy. It's so exhausting.

No, I haven't. My mom had ovarian cancer. I make sure my ob/gyn checks my ovaries carefully!
