Chronic Tonic - Traveler, this one's for you :)

Traveler, since you list this tonic on your profile, was wondering if you could tell me if it's safe to use in conjuction with the abx and all the other helpers I'm taking.

I'm currently taking the following:

1,000 mg Biaxan 2x daily
400 mg Minocycline 2x daily
1,000 mg Tindamax pulsed 3 days per week, 2x daily
9 capsules of Japanese Knotweed per day
9 capsules of Cat's Claw per day
2 capsules of Triple Mag
3 capsules of artemisinin essentials at night
2 capsules of spectra flora probiotics
2 capsules of Phyto Multi Vitamin
15,000 units of Vitamin D

Also, are there any herbs that help with pain? I'm leary about taking tylenol, advil or alleve because of my ND's cautions about it.

Sorry about that! This weekend is my family's Christmas, since this is when we can get the majority of us together in one spot!! smilewinkgrin

While I was told by my practitioner that all the herbs in the Chronic Tonic are safe to take while a person is on abx as well, do be careful - no one can tell you if your body will appreciate it or not!

Also there would be some duplications, so be careful. These are the ones that I can see right away that would be duplicated:

Japanese Knotweed

Cat's Claw
So you will want to stop those herbs while you are using the Chronic Tonic.

Are you going to prepare the medicinal tea the way it's written on the Misty Meadows site? Please remember, I prepared the tea in a different way.

If you are going to use this medicinal tea, I would love to follow your progress with it!! :-)

Oops! I forgot about the herbs for pain! Thanks Opugirl!! :-) Turmeric helps tremendously with inflammation (in joints and more) which will help to reduce the pain levels.

I would also suggest that you use ginger root and Boswellin. Ginger helps the others work better and will help ease any nausea that you may be having.

Also, 1 tablet of Bromelain in the morning on an empty stomach will also help with inflammation/pain.

I still take Ginger root, turmeric and Bromelain.

I bought the chronic tonic in the bottle and I have the Lyme defense tea as well. I planned on preparing the tea as described on the website, but would be very interested in how you did it. I'm glad that you advise to stop taking the knotweed and cat's claw, because let's face it, I take ALOT of pills, and I hate swallowing the suckers. I have such a hard time with it, especially in the a.m. I was hoping the tonic and the tea would be easier on me, as I'll be drinking them.

Please do let me know how you like and what you think of their preparation methods, and of course how you do on it!!

Here's all I did to prepare the Chronic Tonic the way my Practitioner wanted:
Measure 13 grams of mixed Chronic Tonic herbs. Add to 4 cups of boiling water - remove from heat and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Cool and drink 1 cup, 4 times a day.

I used this medicinal tea every single day for 12 months. I even had 2 drinking water bottles dedicated to my medicinal tea so that I could take it everywhere I went! Hopefully you will have just as much luck with it as I did, and maybe even in less time that I had to use it!! Remember, I was undiagnosed for 40 years - that's a lot of time for those bacteria to get into every nook and cranny in my body!

Of course, don't forget to detox, detox, detox!! :-)
