So my doctor told me that I can increase one of abx right now but not both at the same time. She said to either increase the
doxycycline or the rifampin but she left in entirely up to me which one I wanted to increase which I thought was weird so I
don't really know which one will be more beneficial any advice?

Increasing the dosage often times kills more bugs in your system and this creates more toxins. Too many toxins can be detrimental for you. Another problem with increasing too many dosages at once is that it can affect your liver and kidneys.
I would imagine that he/she would re-evaluate the situation in the upcoming appointment.

I would go for increasing the doxy as it has partial benefit for treating bart, babs, and lyme. Rif I believe only treats bart

I would agree with Opugirl and for the same reasons.
