Does anyone else get the sizzling or "rainstick" sound in the back or their head/neck?

This didn't start until the same time as all the other lyme symptoms started. It happened at first when I would be laying down but now I also notice it always happens when my stomache growels or when my throat grummbles. I never had this before and I googled it and a lot of other people experiance this and no one has been able to give an answer about what it is. People that have this have said they also have fibromyalia, anxiety, ms, etc.. I just thought maybe this was something else that goes with lyme. So has anyone else had this as one of their symptoms?

Its sounds kind of silly until you have actually experienced it. It does not hurt but you can feel and hear somthing happening.

HallieMae, I am not sure what type of sizzling you hear. I imagine kind of a bacon sizzling sound. I hear all kinds of sounds in the back of my neck and have found that they come from the actual neck bones putting pressure on something back there. If I move my neck in a different direction or if it is resting on a pillow the sounds change accordingly. There is this one sound that is very laud and it sounds more like static electricity discharging inside my head. I was very scared at first because it has happened while I am asleep and it has awaken me. I am a little better now because I have been able to replicate it while awake and it is also coming from my neck.

Also, when I walk I can hear my neck creak as my feet move. It is very annoying and it sound almost like when your shoes are wet but in your neck.

As far as what it can be; I suffer a lot from inflammation so I imagine that that may be it. I also suffer a lot from headaches in the back of my neck so maybe something in there is putting pressure on my neck. MRI's have not discovered anything abnormal.

I have something in my neck and now even in my groin too: it feels like when you take a running garden hose, and then fold it, and you can feel the water running under pressure through the folded hose. It feels like it is happening in my veins.
I had it for years, never told it to any doctor, don't even know if I should.

Then also, I have this sensation around my stomach area, as if there are very small popping bubbles of air. It happens when I breath profoundly, especially while breathing out. I don't have this very often though.

Marie, I have the same thing! Mine is not only in the groin but also between my butt. When I am sitting down it feels like as if I was sitting on an artery and I can feel the thumping of the blood going through it in a constricted way. Sometimes I get that in my feet as well.
