Something seriously wrong with my eyes

I have the same thing. each eye is 20/10 but when put together, there appears to be a disconnect and I get dizzy when I try to focus. I also get double vision. My eye doctor says that I am OK too.

It is so bad that inorder for me to walk I have to have my head down and focus my sight a few feet in front of me. If I look up the moving objects make me dizzy and I get disoriented.

I also suffer from floaters, flashers, dried blood (debris) in my eye.

We can continue to treat it. Most people have gotten better after they get the infection under control. I have been on antibiotics for 7 months now and my eyes have only gotten worse. I can't lose hope though. I think that in my case it is bartonella and I have not really targeted bartonella.

I did a month of bactrim and in that month my eyesight got just a little bit better for a few weeks where I could read fine print two feet from my face versus 3+ feet.

I am starting Rifampin soon so I hope that it will better my eyesight. I hope, I hope I hope

Depending on how long you have been infected, 3 months may not be all that much. Although I was infected for 40 years without adequate treatment, I had to stay in treatment for Lyme disease for a full 12 months.

But I can tell you that I no longer have those kinds of issues with my eyes!! I had them checked last summer, and I was actually told that my eyes seemed quite healthy for my age, and that the normal age deterioration wasn't really 'progressing' at a fast rate.

I had floaters blurred vision impaired vision and many visual difficulties. They do pass with time. Omnicef helped most, also ammox.

Hey everyone. So, before I found out that I had Lyme, I went to a vision therapist for this same issue. It's called "convergence insufficiency or poor binocular fusion." There have been at least one study of convergence insufficiency and Lyme Disease that I know of. Apparently it's a pretty common symptom. Something like 50% of the Lyme patients in the study had some form of it.

It can be reversed. If the antibiotics don't do it alone (which, depending on the person, antibiotics will help), then going to a vision therapist is the next step. There are exercises that can help correct this. They are boring, and often frustrating and painful, but they do help. I believe most people can correct this! Check it out!

I have Adies pupil in which the pupils do not dialate at the same time. It is another weird eye issue but has not effected my vision. Did have blurred vision for some time.

Hey Margaret- please look into convergence insufficiency. It is the cause of the over stimulation. This has been my main symptom and has plagued me for over 10 years. I had been researching what the problem could be for many years, and I am so happy to have found out exactly what it is now.

Many Lyme patients have this and it CAN be fixed! Yay!! Please look into it. It is an unbearable symptom for many of us and completely debilitating. I just want to spread the word because it has caused me so much pain and strife trying to figure out "what my problem was" :) Now I know, and I also know how to correct it!

Canyon where do you get the Argentyn 23, I have had a lot of eye problems and maybe it will help. I will also google but you can't always trust sights on the net. Thanks

Hello. I am still between diagnosis. Was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in October. Neurologist found a lesion. Now I’m seeing an MS specialist who isn’t sure it is MS. Tons of symptoms that don’t fall into MS. Going to see an LLMD soon. My vision has gotten very bad in the past few weeks. I am scared. Hard to do my job. I find myself with my hand on my face looking through the cracks in my fingers. Eye doc said there is nothing wrong with my eye and the one spot I have on my brain is not on the optic nerve. This is especially scary because I am already legally blind in my other eye… I can’t seem to see things right in front of me. I have floaters galore. Blank spots. Movement in my pretrial. Occasional flashes… I don’t know what to do.

I've been having weird eye problems for years, burning, pressure, sharp pain, blood shot, more veins, etc. had an eye exam a few years ago and my pressures were slightly high so he wanted me to go to a specialist for Glacoma. I went and was told my pressures were normal but optic nerve looks squished so they wanted to monitor me a few yrs. I went a few times and after I got diagnosed with Lyme, I bet the problems were due to it so I didn't go back to the specialist this fall cause my ins isn't that great and cost a lot out of pocket. I had regular eye exam from same doc who did it the first time and he said everything looked good, pressures are normal. I told him about Lyme and he wasn't sure if it could affect my eyes. Hope it was just a fluke thing, that yr I had several steroid shots and I think it made pressures high and the squished optic nerve I could been born that way.
