Generally speaking, tinctures are more potent, but I don't know about
that specific brand. You could take the pills until you run out, then switch to the tincture and see if one was helping more than the other.
Do the instructions say for treatment of Lyme disease? Even if they did, if it was me, I'd follow a well known treatment strategy before I followed an unknown. And starting on a high dose would definitely increase the risk of some pretty bad herxing!! Please be very, very careful of this!!
While most of these abx and herbs can be taken together, there are two things you really need to be sure of. One is that they don't cross react. Find a herb/drug interaction checker like the one on this site:
www.drugdigest.org/ (be sure to look up the scientific name of the herb and use that. For example, Cat's claw is Uncaria tomentosa)
or this one:
www.rxlist.com/supplements/alpha_c.htm There could be others out there as well that will check for both.
While a heavy attack sounds like a good idea, I would caution you in that you will be releasing loads and loads of toxins into your blood stream all at once, which for some people is life threatening. We have had three members since I've been here, find themselves in a hospital or at home and bed ridden & much worse (some having major seizures) because of trying to tackle these infections in that manner.
I'm not saying don't do it, just be very wise if you do choose to do it. Add in things one at a time and give yourself several days in between the addition of each new item. Start off with very low doses, and be sure to take the time to build up slowly so that your body has a chance to deal with the amount of toxins being released into your blood stream. Always be on the look out for your body to be telling you that you need to stop or slow down. And of course - detox like crazy!!
