Infrared Saunas & Brain Scan Question??

I have read on your forum about the benefits of infrared saunas. We have a regular type sauna here in our apartment complex. Would that help?

And I am also wondering how many of you Lyme folks have white spots on your brain scan? Will these heal when treatmt. is done?

I had the white spots on my scan too. At the time, the doctor didn't seem concerned because we were looking for MS and they were not located in a spot that an MS lesion would appear. Now that I have Lyme, I am not surprised there was one there.

Well, I'm of the opinion that as bad as having Lyme disease is, it's better than having MS! At least there are treatments and healing for Lyme!!

I didn't mean to try to convince you that it's "just" Lyme, only to help you see that if it is Lyme, that it was at least something that had treatments and healing. I do hope that you don't have MS, though.

I'm not sure that even the best docs can always tell the difference between MS and Lyme - there's just not enough known about either one and they both can be so different in each person.

Yes, and yes. MS is actually a very common misdiagnosis for Lyme and other tick-borne infections.

Personally, I had a doc actually yell at me nearly as loud as he could when I wouldn't start MS treatments that very day - even though I told him that MS just doesn't explain enough of my symptoms.

There are actually several people on our forum that have started MS treatments, then for one reason or another, choose to pursue Lyme treatments instead and are seeing improvements finally.

You will be amazed at how many references to MS will come up! Be sure to enter your search terms like this - Lyme, MS - to be sure that most of your results will come from this forum and not the MS forum.
