I know of some who have had success with amoxicillin, but my LLMD doesn't use it. He said he feels a lot of bugs are developing resistance to it due to it being prescribed for pretty much everything for so long.
It makes sense I guess, because most kids have been on it a few times for other common infections. It's possible any bugs that survived those doses are more resistant to it the next time it's used. Maybe that's why it pushes them into cysts...the recognize it?
My girls(one of them r 4)were on Azithromycin for a little over 2 months and are now on cefaclor til the end of Feb, then will be either switching, or adding on. He switches them up every couple months to keep the bugs off guard. All abx are hard on them, so it sucks no matter what ones you use, but good probiotics, milk thistle, whole foods, and detox baths, and they've been handling it well, not even any side effects. So far so good.
