Sorry to start a separate thread on the fermented foods topic, but I wasn't separating Cowden antimicrobials from fermented foods. I am a C. Diff. survivor, and I went on the GAPs diet (am also using the book, "Nourishing Traditions.") The diet requires that one eats fermented foods with every meal, plus I use probiotic supplementation.
Meanwhile, you're supposed to take Cowden antimicrobials four times a day, and each time, you're supposed to do it 30 minutes before meals (and at bedtime).
And then, probiotics have to be taken two hours before or two hours after antibiotics??
It's impossible. Right now, I'm not doing the Cowden antimicrobials every day, but eventually I will.
In half a day of not doing fermented foods and probiotics, I can feel a difference in my intestines.
What do I friggin' do?
