Hey ccpoly,
In June 2013 my igm qn was 23 and my igg subclass 1 was 332 (norm range is 422-1292) and the ordering doc referred me to an immunologist who pretty much blew it off. He said basically that patients with very low igm are very sick and wouldn't look as "healthy" as I do. Funny thing is he rechecked me in oct and then my igm dropped to 15 and my igg subclass 1 went up to 365. He called me and reiterated that he was not concerned but to have it rechecked again in March lol. If he's not concerned then why the repeated blood draws?! I'm not a genius and my mantra is usually "I'm just a nurse" but these factors are indicative of how well your immune system is equipped to fight off invaders...so to me it makes sense that they are low because Lyme takes such a toll on our immune systems...but again I'm just a nurse...what do I know ;)
My suggestion to you would be take the results to an immunologist for interpretation and peace of mind. Good luck! And please keep me posted. And Ill be getting my levels rechecked in a few weeks and I will post my results here on the boards.
