Which drug worked best for you?

Just curious to see which antibiotic worked best for you through your picc line?

I am generally curious but also I've been on iv doxycycline for 6 weeks now and just reevaluated with my doctor. I've made some substantial progress but am not 100 percent yet. He said if I begin to plateau he will add in rocephin or take me off doxy and just go with the rocephin. Anyone else have an experience like this? Thanks

Ive only been on two PICC ABXs: Rocephin (Ceftriaxone) and Aztreonam. Both are absolutely fantastic drugs. Once I got passed the bad Herxing and learned to control the candida issues, my health dramatically improved. Yes you will plateau. This is because these ABXs are only designed to attack the cell walls of the lyme (while it is in your blood). They have difficulty penetrating your joints, bones and when the Lyme resorts to a biofilm or cyst form (where its ABX immune basically).

For this you need other therapies, supplements and different kinds of ABXs. For me, after my initial plateau, I only noticed a dramatic improvement when hardcore anti-parasitic drugs were introduced along with other synergistic ABXs (like Rifampin).
