LOW Pulse

Several health professionals have tested my pulse in the 40's. I've bought one of the little finger testing units at drug store to test at home. VERY consistent in low 40's...some times into high 30's. Am told to RUN to nearest clinic for help. I do have appt. with cardiologist this week. I DO NOT want to get hooked up with drugs and such unless it is absolutely necessary :( PLEASE share you experiences.

You need to get medical attention, that is severe bradycardia. You can't be feeling ok with a pulse in the 30s!? I have tachycardia, it sounds like you may want to get checked for a heart block.

Grammie8, I also have very low pulse. Low 50's upper 40"s. I went to cardiologist, and found out I had hole in my heart from birth. It just needs to be monitored. I would consult cardiologist for sure!
