A troll is someone who comes onto forums just to cause disruption, arguments between members, attacking members or just general discord.

Ah so! I am still somewhat cro-magnon when it comes to current slang and jargon tongue . Thanks for the info. Glad to make you giggle any time, it's good for us, yes?

As for trouble - I'm up for a match! Naw, I really like the open minded support here, and I have liked the quick handling of unfriendly approaches. They seem quite rare. Yay!

Trolls usually don't have the actual disease or aren't truly interested in whatever it is the forum is about.

You can sense a troll when things just don't add up.

I changed my email just to stay safe.

I can't get the forum email to work though, so I'm going to try something else in that department.

I guess I ran into a troll on an avocado allergy site who insisted everyone posting was just wrong - they didn't have the allergy because there was no such thing! I still can't figure what someone gets out of the unkindness. Why do they care? Well, thankfully, they're rare here.

wink only as rare as we can make them.

I have yet to figure out why people feel the need to do this as well - other than to prove the are right about something. When we get them here, it's usually due to the controversy of the diseases we are talking about though. At least I can understand that in a way.

Maybe they think it's their duty to save us from our misguided selves. Like we need to be told it's all in our heads so we can get on with getting over it and find a hobby. Cause ya know it's so entertaining to be dismissed at the dr office that I choose that over gardening any time. Florescent lights have it all over sunshine! Yes, but going on a forum just to prove to us that we're wrong (in a secretive kind of way), and then perhaps leaking our information, is just plain mean.

I saw an article that suggested sadists are able to express themselves on line without fear of negative face to face reactions, and they can get their kicks seeing that they have caused distress.  Delightful.
