One month on Doxy for Anaplasmosis, don't see much progress. Is there usually more symptom relief?

My son has been on Doxy for almost 4 weeks now to treat Anaplasmosis. The only real improvement we see is that his low grade fevers are gone. The doctor spoke as though he'd have a period where he was much better, then probably some nasty herxing, and then better than before. My understanding is that Anaplasmosis is somewhat straightforward to treat. Feeling a little frustrated about it...

I tested IgM positive for Anaplasmosis and Doxy didn't do much for me either. I later found out I have Lyme and other co-infections as well even though only Anaplasmosis showed up through the first lab.

Is he being treated by an LLMD? Were you told that's all he has because it's rare to just have that and not Lyme and Bart as well.

ToddPaul, yes, its an LLMD. He has Lyme, Epstein Barr, and Anaplasmosis. We found EB first, then Lyme, and in January found Ana. Had been treating with herbs up to that point but doc put him on the doxy for the Ana. He's also been on silver since beginning of January.

We're trying to be patient but if feels like after 7 months of treatment nothing is better, although I am happy to get rid of the fevers. His were not the high fevers it says go with Anaplasmosis, but the test showed Ana so I don't doubt that. It was an Elisa LTT test.

He was on 100 mg/day which I know is low. He weighs 44 kilos/97 pounds so maybe that's not enough. Sigh.
Thanks for the answers, I don't know what I'd do without having you guys to turn to. Couldn't wait to wake up this morning and see the answers--like a little kid, tee hee!
