Hi sknight,
I noticed just a few minute ago on the thread "where did you get lyme from" that you said Des Moines. I'm from Bettendorf IA (next to Davenport, on the Mississippi).
Anyway, I sent the name of the llmd my son is seeing to concepts too, and I'm wondering if it's the same as yours (ours is in IA)

I'm wondering b/c, although we're kind of ok (?) with our llmd, she is new and I've wondered lately if there was a more experienced doctor say in Des Moines or IA City that I hadn't heard about yet from someone. We've only seen her twice, so to give her credit there are things I need to ask about and learn regarding her treatment ideas, but anyway.

If you don't mind emailing me I'd be interested and grateful! Thanks so much!

stacestar ~ The doc's that I see (the one's I emailed you about) are in their 60's and have been practicing for 30+ years. So, plenty of experience there if you choose to see them.

Thank you both very much. I'll see what my current dr. says and probably contact the ones in Des moines as I'm just 10 minutes away.
Get better... looks like spring may finally be coming in a week or two.

If it's not too much trouble could you try sending it again? I'm really interested in learning who the doctors are! 30 years experience would be fantastic!

Hey guys,
I'm from NW Iowa, over towards Storm Lake. Currently seeing an LLMD who travels around and usually comes within an hour or two of my area once or twice a month. I've had Lyme for at least 7 years and been in treatment for a little over a year now, I was wondering if could email me the other doctors in Iowa just incase I need to get a second opinion. Thank you!

I'd be happy to email the name of my doc's but, when I click on your username it takes me to a page that says your email is "unavailable". That might be because you've made only one post, I'm not sure. A moderator will probably visit this thread and they can explain further.

Hi sknight, I'll look at it and make sure it says it's still available. Concepts was able to forward your email to me. Thanks for trying though! Again, probably some weird computer, cyber-space glitch, but I'll look into it, b/c I want the email address to be available in general.

LOL!! For the first time since I saw this thread created, I felt like I should take a look at it and found your post, sknight!! LOL!! Funny how that stuff happens!! :-)

I just checked rv_rev's email and it's available now. It's really hard to know what's happened when there is a glitch of some sort. We have a lot of traffic on this site, so no telling what actually happened. If necessary, I can help connect you with each other.

hi wildlife artist, oh, thank you. you're welcome! I haven't been on the computer all day, and I see you wrote this yesterday, so maybe somebody else already has replied, but just in case if not, I can send the names of the Dr.s mentioned in this post here.
Good to know all your options, it's something I'm still looking into too!

Sorry stacestar, I got you and concepts confused when I replied. Glad you got the info though.

I also just emailed my docs' names and contact info to Traveler. She's on the forum way more than I am. So, I thought it'd be more efficient to let her pass along the contact info for those requesting it.

thanks sknight! and that's okay, of course, I understand about getting people confused. as we're all posting and commenting, since there's no "face" to put with a name its' easy sometimes to confuse someone, I've done it too!

And then there's the fact that my brain function SUCKS !

Gosh, I've been feeling SO crappy (not the exact word I wanted to use) recently. Anxiety, impending doom feeling, racing heart, and last night.... nightmares. But, figured out that I'd forgotten to take my zoloft yesterday. Apparently that's what happens. Yikes ! Anyway, I was pretty suicidal last night... the worst it's been in a long time.

I'm so sorry that you've been going through that and felt that way last night! really, sincerely sorry.

as I've mentioned, but don't blame you if you don't remember, it's my son who has lyme (4 years old, and symptoms just started this past fall).
I love this community (healingwell), b/c I find advice, answers to questions, encouragement, and support, but I have to admit, I feel so bad when I hear all the suffering you all are enduring. Since I don't have lyme, (or if I do, it's dormant, but that's just a theory of mine that doesn't matter right now), I physically don't relate to the pain you all have, but I feel for you all in my heart.

I hope you have many better days, (all better days!)…hang on!

Thanks stacestar. I have a RIFE appt with my naturopath today at 4pm. Hopefully, that will help things at least a little bit.

The RIFE appointment tonight was good. It was a group of six lyme patients. We all sat in the LLND's office where the RIFE machine was and just, visited, for 45 minutes. It was the first time any of us had met one another. It was the first time I've socialized with anyone in person in the five months since resigning from my day job. It was like a little support group. I got some tips and ideas from others' experience and was able to offer some tips and ideas to others from my experience. I'm not sure what was more "healing".... the RIFE machine or the camaraderie of other lyme patients.

Because really, who else can you talk to about coffee enemas without humiliating yourself ?!?!? lol We had a great coffee enema discussion going for a while. :p

We meet again next Wednesday for another group RIFE appt.
