Gallium Scan -- thoughts on this test?

Has anyone had this test or does anyone have thoughts on it?

I am currently without diagnosis but have had many symptoms of an ongoing infection for 6 years now. The ones meriting this test (in doctors eyes) are fever of unknown origin and swelling in throat/neck lymph nodes. The plan is I would be scanned 24 and 48 hours after injection.

Welcome JackieM89! Do you feel you have Lyme disease? If so, I'd suggest you go to a Lyme literate doctor (LLMD, or LLND) and get the standard tests for Lyme. I'm not familiar with the test you're asking about, but I wouldn't want to be injected with anything. That's just me, though.

While I've not had a gallium scan, if you have Lyme disease they will definitely find inflammation (Lyme is an inflammatory condition) and they will find that you have an infection (Lyme Disease).
