In the past I have had a borderline result on my Lyme blood test from my GP and he said that means negative---What do you think? (How can any illness be borderline and go untreated)

I think I'd walk out the door and never go back to him! If it's borderline and you have some of the symptoms, then it should be treated, IMHO.

This means he is following the CDC guidelines, which are WRONG
Do you have a copy of your results?

I've had Lyme for 15 yrs so my test was also borderline but the tests are inaccurate. Like Chapelle said they are following CDC guidelines. You need to find a LLMD or ND, who will treat based on your symptoms.
