Hi All,
Please help :)
I'm about to have my son tested for Lymes. I've been given a lot of info regarding which lab to use....and am still confused...Igenex or Fry or ? Whats the difference?

Igenex in California is suppose to be the lab for western blot, that's shows the different bands. Don't know any others.

Ive been told its the western blot that often has false negatives :?

Igenex is a really good test. Apparently it tests for more strains, tests in more detail for each band, and test for more bands.. For example, on typical western blot, they only test for three Igm bands. with Igenex they test for around ten for IGM. I don't know how you can send it to Igenex on your own. I went to a llmd and they drew blood and sent it for me. I get the results back in a few days.

Fry is a test that actually looks under the microscope at what is in our blood and if there is biofilm. You can read about it on their webpage. I am not sure if Fry will give you a CDC diagnosis. I know that Igenex will. Good luck
