Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and my symptoms are not consistent with so many descriptions of Lyme that I've read that I thought I'd run this by you and hope for some feedback.
Firstly, I actually contracted Lyme while living in Old Lyme, CT in 1993. I lived in a heavily wooded area and stared to get excrutiating headaches. Went to the doctor, she found the rash, I was given anti-biotics for a few weeks, the symptoms went away and I though no more about it.
about three years ago, I started to experience a weird dizziness/vertigo feeling that came and went - seemingly randomly. I had odd "excited" feelings in my chest and head. The symptoms have changed a bit over the years but I am now left with an odd feeling in my head that I can only describe as a combination of pressure and suction - like my brain is being vaccuumed out, constant tinnitus and fatigue. I have strong reactions to all kinds of food, pretty much can't drink alcohol at all and I am living on green drinks, organic food, tons of water and supplements etc., etc. The strange thing is, the severity of my symptoms does not seem to have progressed. I can't honestly say I'm worse now that I was a few years ago. I know I have Lyme - and I can't think of any other culprit (I've done Candida cleanses, parasite cleanses - you name it). Does ANY of this sound like it's related to Lyme? I'm going to get tested again and hopefully anti-biotics will help - but none of this sounds like typical Lyme to me (whatever that means). I am so exhausted from living on eggshells everyday. I never know how bad it's going to be day to day. Only that it will always be there and that anything stressful, most foods and all alchohol make things much worse. Thanks for reading.
