Well, I've made the decision I'm sending in the info and deposit to set up an appt with a new LLMD. I'm going to see Dr N in the Litiz area in PA.
I had spoke with the office two months ago, they DO accept positive IGeneX lab tests, so I know that they will see me and treat me. I probably won't get an appt until June or so.
Of course I'm not looking forward to the cost. This is what has kept me from pursuing this route. I'm already in debt for over 20K for a school degree that I can't even use as I'm dissabled at this point in time. But, in my gut I feel something more needs to be done, especially helping me with the pain, the bouts of crying/saddness and other issues.
I'm currently seeing a local LLND, but his lack of interest/knowledge/help in other areas (diet/pain) is giving me pause. I'm really wondering if this is the right person/route. His office is in his home, but both times I was there it wasn't very clean (overflowing trash baskets, messy/cluttered) plus this last appt he booked two people for the same day/time, didn't have either appt written in his book, and he wasn't even awake when I got there!! He said he forgot, and it was his fault. He saw me first, but the other person ended up leaving after 70 min. Professionalism isn't his strong point. He's been practising for over 20 yrs. If that's the case, then I believe he should be more on his game than what I've seen. I'm grateful I'm doing something, but is this enough is my question.
And so, I'm posting just to get some prayers/support going. As you know stepping out into the unknown, especially dealing with this LD/co, is scary. I"ve had so many negative experiences with so-called llmd's and reg drs. Each time I take a step is really tough, but I can't stop.
Thanks in advance.
