No worries Chapelle! You are not the only one who feels like progress has gone down. There have been times where I felt literally like 95% (some of my tinidazole off days) but then that progress would quickly go down and symptoms just vary so much. Then I will have a day where I'm thinking I'm only 80%, I'm like well I was 95% just a few days ago. We should be aware that Lyme cycles every 4 weeks. I noticed it myself so our symptoms may get worse. Eventually we might be treating 100% symptom free and then all of a sudden we go back down to 90% for a week. Then back to 100%. When we can stay symptom free through these flare up cycles we will know the lyme is treated!
I've already got to my 4th pulse of tinidazole so just about done the tinidazole for a month! 5 days on, 2 days off. I think at least now it's cleared out of my joints because I don't get joint symptoms anymore. But it is definitely still in my brain! I feel just so dizzy and disorientated today, I am confused if it the toxins or the bacteria that are creating these symptoms?
That is interesting as a pharmacist you don't want to take the medications! Haha, you already know how toxic they are. But I think you might want to ask yourself what is worse the illness or the medications?
I was able to tolerate the Rifampin, it made me tired for about 2 hours after taking it, and my liver ached for a few hours each time too for a few days. But then my body just adjusted to the medication and I only had the fatigue symptom.
If you are interested in alternatives you could maybe try the A-Bart, or Houttuynia for your Bartonella. Or even the natural combo from our famous herbalists herbs sida acuta, hawthorne, japanese knotweed, egcg, L-arginine, and milk thistle.
I am about to add in A-Bart myself, so I will be doing A-Bart, Houttuynia, Japanese Knotweed, and I will add in the L-arginine. I think the L-arginie is good for circulation, NO production, and kind of 'wake the bartonella up' from inside of the cells.
