I had just gotten my Spect scan results back today from Columbia Univerysity medical center and I was wondering if anyone knows how to read the photos or if they could tell me what the colors in the photos represent. I have an appointment with my Lyme doctor sometime next week and I was just curious to find out some information before that. Any help would be appreciated.

I have no clue how to read the scans. I just read what the description says, i.e. decreased perfusion of blood flow to the brain consistent with meningitis, encephalitis, and lyme is what mine reads. Mine are also done at Columbia.

Thanks for replying. Mine was on a cd. Was yours? It doesn't say anything on the cd. It only has the pictures. Please let me know if you have a cd also. If so where would I the information about my symptoms.

My spec report also had a diagnosis statement.... "blah, blah, blah.... consistent with Lyme disease." That's the only test I have ever had that gave a positive lyme diagnosis.
I've stopped wasting time and money on testing, and spend all available $$$ on treatment only.

Make sure you get a copy of the report they should have sent to your Dr.
