Hi everyone, I hope all is well. I had two fillings today in a tricky place in my mouth. If I had waited any longer the nerve might have been exposed. Yikes!
I explained to my dentist that I have Lyme Disease and the left side of my face had some nerve damage or just some weird sensations and I did not want any needles to numb my mouth because of it.
Thank goodness my dentist is caring and up on the new stuff. He rubbed some numbing jelly on my gums (because there was a gap between my gum and tooth (gum erosion).
I barely felt anything and because there was no drilling once the numbing jelly wore away I felt no pain.
He said he uses it on patients like me, if they need drilling they play it by ear. It's nice to have someone care.
So success and advice...if any of you need dental work...ask your dentist what can they do to avoid needles because of the Lyme and if you are like me and the nerves in your face are slowly healing.
Cheers!
