Anyone Have Swollne Toe Joint ?

This is a relatively new symptom for me. Im also having difficulty walking. Pain now moving down around onto bottom of foot. I have an ankle and knee joint that also randomly swell up. This disease is so weird and you never know what to expect.

I have swollen hand joints, but never had swollen toe joints, they sometimes hurt, but never as bad as my hands do. I can imagine that it is very painful in your toes.

Hi Marie,

I have not had joint trouble until recently. Thanks for the link to the thread. I will read it for sure. One antibiotic causes the toe joint to blow up. It is the only joint that is painful. Over the months many of the neuro symptoms subsided and new issues like this took their place. I guess it is the normal course of the disease, if there is such a thing. How are you feeling Marie ? How are the recent symptoms you have been dealing with ?

Swollen ankle which created cysts inside the joint.

I have days that my joints hurt less, few days, but still. But now I have more and more neuro stuff going on... With me it's the other way around...

My knee is behaving now - I think it must have been an immune response. The Erythema Nodosum is pretty calm, not every day, but pretty calm. I wear those class 3 compression socks (they are black, luckely) to support my lymphatic system and keep the circulation in my veins optimal. The rib cage pain is still there though (costochondritis).
Next coinfection to treat will be the Chlamydia Pneumoniae! Thank you for asking :-) :-)

BarnGurl the better I get the less pain I have. I think that the swelling goes down as a result of improved health status. Thanks for reading my blog!

YES! I have had the painful toe joint issue for a couple of months now. Oddly, when I started antibiotics, it switched from the right one to the left one. It hurts especially when I wear narrow-toed shoes. Mainly the big toe, but the metatarsal (the big bone that sticks out on the inner part of the foot, toward the big toe) area starts to hurt sometimes too. Crazy!

Hi Jackie this is so weird but the amoxicillin actually takes the pain and join swelling away. Some of them like the cephalasporin and doxy make it more painful but the ammox actually helps it. So when I took the noon dose took it with an ammox and it resolved.
