Best LLMD appointment Ive ever had!

So today I got some serious answers as to why I am feeling like absolute crap lately.

First I got my CD57 results back and Im a 47! for a 22 year old kid who never gets sick thats pretty alarming. In order to address that my LLMD wants me to start taking this stuff called Transfer Factor LymPlus thats supposed to be immune support

Second I got my adrenal function test back and this explains a lot. My cortisol levels are through the roof at night and non existent in the morning. My serotonin, GABA, dopamine, and Epinephrine are all really low as well. So my LLMD wants me to try this stuff called Calm CP, and TravaCor and see if that helps.

Third, I am always complaining about having no energy ever so she wants me on ATP Fuel..

Fourth she is adding in cholestyramine as a form of detox and nystatin for good measure.

So all of that will be added into my Minocycline, Bactrim, and Tindimax daily routine. Now to find enough time in the day would be nice.

She says there is overwhelming evidence that I have bartonella infection and I already know I cant take cipro anymore and I stopped taking rifampin so I have to pray that the bactrim will hold up.

Overall I say a pretty informative day. Any thoughts or things to add?

Sounds like you have a great doctor! I treated Bartonella naturally because I could not tolerate the abx. The doctor ran some great tests! Very important to know your cortisol level, any coinfections you may have, GABA, etc...

I agree with TheWryter, that you do seem to have a good doctor. My daughter and I were put on the Transfer Factor supplement in the beginning of our treatments. I haven't come across many others on here that take it.

It seems that your doctor is addressing things pretty well, so I hope it all helps you. Let us know how it goes.

It wasn't until after 6 months of antibiotics with not much progress did she say ok time to find out whats going on here and ordered all of these test. All of which my other non lyme doctors all said heres a xanax youre fine. Think she realized that I wasnt kidding when I said my quality of life for a 22 year old is not where it should be. Hopefully these things are the missing puzzle pieces.

Yep...I like her a lot! Fire those other jokers and keep this LLMD! So happy you have a doctor that cares...you are on your way!

Sounds great! I am so glad you have her! Cholestyramine is a detox agent for mold so that's great news!

For me the Septra DS (AKA Bactrim) is working okay for the Bartonella. But to be honest I don't think it quite holds out completely on it, and I still get minor bartonella symptoms from time to time. So I am unsure if it is actually completely working? I know the rifampin did wonders for my bartonella symptoms but while on the rifampin I still got Lyme symptoms.

I just wonder how long this is going to have to be treated for? My LLMD says 4-6 months.

How is treatment coming along for you so far TBrown?

Its been a roller coaster honestly. Some days I feel like giving up and my life is over at 22 and Im going to be like this forever and then other days Im like maybe this is working and I'll be ok and get glimpses of what my old life used to be. As of right now I don't know the difference between lyme/bart symptoms and the low neurotransmitters and adrenals symptoms but I'm glad at all the stuff we figured out today.

Ya it's a roller coaster for me too! I thought my life was going to be a write-off for awhile there, and it certainly has been a roller coaster ride with ups and downs of symptoms, but so far there are thankfully more ups than downs. I too caught this young, I have just turned 29 right before I caught this and recently started my career a couple years ago. Sometimes I day dream about how my life would be if I didn't catch this illness.

The difference between Lyme/Bart symptoms. There is a difference and I can feel it.

Bartonella more burning like symptoms, fire like, feels like your circulation is burning, nerve burning, general insomnia and anxiety, also muscle twitches, lots of inflammation.

Lyme more bizarre like symptoms like numbness, tingling, sensations in the brain, vibration sensations, clumbsiness, brain fog, joint pains, visual issues, strange sensations. I'm not sure how to describe it but they are bizzare symptoms to me and I am like, yup that must be Lyme.

Then there is the Lyme HERX, which causes symptoms of their own including the worst emotional like anxiety! Panic, and I believe some burning like situations like bartonlla too.

So far in my experience these are just the symptoms that I have experienced personally.
